The 2014 Lansing Parade of homes has arrived! We are excited to share our home with you. This year, our home is a 2,700 sq. ft. two story, 4 bedroom and 4.5 baths craftsman home. It is located at 6081 Sacramento Way, East Lansing, in our Sierra Ridge community. This home begins with towering double doors inviting you into the sweeping entryway. The first level features; ten foot ceilings, an ample study, a modern fireplace in the family room, a half bath that’s fully amazing, and a kitchen you are sure to remember. The second floor features three bedrooms each with their own private bath. The master bath feels like a spa with its stand-alone tub and rain shower. The master suit is finished with an ample walk in closet. This home also has a finished basement space, with a comfortable bar area along with an HDMI ready connection in the ceiling for your projection screen. There is also an extra bedroom for your out of town relatives. We have been working very hard on this home and we can’t wait to see you for the exciting 2014 Lansing Parade of Homes!

The opening weekend of the Lansing Parade of Homes was a huge success. We had hundreds of people through our home. If you wanted to go but missed out this weekend don’t worry there is still time. The Parade of Homes begins again this Thursday the 6th and runs through this Sunday the 9th. Our Parade Home is in our Sierra Ridge development, located here on the map. We have attached some images of the new home below. There is also a time lapsed video of the entire construction on our home page!

The framing process is complete on our 2013 Parade Home! In this step of the building process we focus on our energy efficiency. Our exterior walls are built with 2×6 studs. This creates thicker walls allowing for more insulation. We also put in our heating and ventilation. Many of the production builders have gone to plastic ventilation systems without air returns on the second floor. We continue to use the best products in each of our new homes; this includes a quality ventilation system. Our system ensures that once you move into your new home it will be comfortable through the hottest summer and coldest winter. In this step, we also focus on sealing the envelope. If you have been shopping for a new home you have probably heard this term many times. Sealing the envelope simply refers to sealing every crack or nail hole created during the framing process. Keep in mind that this is only one step in building a green home. Building a truly green home takes planning and effort from pouring the foundation to the finishes. Our green process translates to huge savings each month, compared to your existing home. Soon we will finish the rough electrical, plumbing, and begin drywall in the new home. We are excited to keep you updated throughout construction of our 2013 Parade Home. In the next post we will show you some of the modern design products we are putting in this exciting new home!
