The 2014 Lansing Parade of homes has arrived! We are excited to share our home with you. This year, our home is a 2,700 sq. ft. two story, 4 bedroom and 4.5 baths craftsman home. It is located at 6081 Sacramento Way, East Lansing, in our Sierra Ridge community. This home begins with towering double doors inviting you into the sweeping entryway. The first level features; ten foot ceilings, an ample study, a modern fireplace in the family room, a half bath that’s fully amazing, and a kitchen you are sure to remember. The framing process is complete on our 2013 Parade Home! In this step of the building process we focus on our energy efficiency. Our exterior walls are built with 2×6 studs. This creates thicker walls allowing for more insulation. We also put in our heating and ventilation. Many of the production builders have gone to plastic ventilation systems without air returns on the second floor. We continue to use the best products in each of our new homes; this includes a quality ventilation system. Our system ensures that once you move into your new home it will be comfortable through the hottest summer and coldest winter. In this step, we also focus on sealing the envelope. If you have been shopping for a new home you have probably heard this term many times. Sealing the envelope simply refers to sealing every crack or nail hole created during the framing process. Keep in mind that this is only one step in building a green home. Building a truly green home takes planning and effort from pouring the foundation to the finishes. Our green process translates to huge savings each month, compared to your existing home. Soon we will finish the rough electrical, plumbing, and begin drywall in the new home. We are excited to keep you updated throughout construction of our 2013 Parade Home. In the next post we will show you some of the modern design products we are putting in this exciting new home!
After several years of uncertainty, now is finally the time to build your new home. Over the past year existing home prices and sales have risen quickly. People are happy to discover that not only can they get a fair price for their existing home, but also there is actually a great demand for them. This along with the fact that interest rates are hovering around 3.5% makes now the perfect time to build your new home.
There are so many amazing benefits to building a new home with us. First of all, is the final energy efficient product. In building your custom home with us, you will get a quality product all the way through. You shouldn’t have to settle for cheap finishes that were overpriced upgrades from the beginning. You deserve the highest level of quality and care that we provide. Another reason to build a new home with Jerry Fedewa Homes is the location. Our neighborhoods are carefully planned out in areas that we ourselves would love to live, truly amazing new home sights located in East Lansing, Haslett, Holt, Lansing, and Okemos.

Georgetown and Central Park are two amazing places to live. Just a short drive to the Meridian Mall, Michigan State University, and just 18 minutes from downtown Lansing. They are flat, lookout, corner and private home sites still available. They really are the perfect place to raise a family. Both are in the Okemos school district, the most awarded school system in the area. So please, come take a look and choose your new home site. Home packages for Georgetown start at $259,000 and $289,000 for Central Park. We think you will agree that this is the perfect place to build your dream home.

We are also going to put the step by step process of construction up on our blog so you can follow along and really get into the finer details of the home construction process.
